Wide Angle lens (task 2)
i went up to Blackpool with my dad for the day when the illuminations were on as i thought i could get some cool shots with all the diffrnt coloured lights that are displayed there.i really enjoyed this task as it was in a fun and exciting environment.I think these pictures are fun to look at because of all the bright colours in them
Old&New Buildings (task5)
I went out round blackburn town trying to find old an new buildings that are in the same frame as one another.In blackburn there are alot of old buildings and new buildings close to each other so this task was not hard to do.
unit 7 evaluation
with unit 7 I thought it was the easiest unit out of the three. i really enjoyed making my images into something other than just putting them straight onto my blog.the only this that i found difficult about this unit is finding a photographer that relates to my project so because of that i just left it to one side until the last minute. overall I think how i worked for this unit was not the best i could of done with the writing part but with the pratical parts i think i worked well on them.
Mr toledano
i thought toledano’s work relates to mine as he photographed his farthers life before he passed away,which is what i wanted to to try and capture through my photos.
idea task 2
For task 2 my first idea i wanted to do was to bring my grandma into the studio and put rollers and and headscarf round her head to make her look like they did in the 70,s. we tried this at first but it didn’t look like i wanted it to so i just scraped that idea and just did a normal portrait shoot but try and show her personality through the photos.
Evaluation (overall unit 6)
I think overall on unit 6 I could of worked more independently as I think I stuck to working with with my friends. As I got to the end of task 2 I think I slaked on work because I thought I had alot of time left to complete the unit so I left it for abit until the last minuet and before I knew it, it was the deadline date. I think if I didn’t leave it for so long I could of had it done before the deadline date with time to spare. I also think that i didn’t work to my full potential on task 2 as i concentrated more on task 1.
Group evaluation (task 1)
In my group there was Me,Calista,Georgia and autumn. the fruit we chose was a lime as we thought that was the most colorful/vibrant fruit.As a team i think we worked well as we are all close friends so it made it easier to agree on ideas for shoots. one of are tasks was to go up to coperation park and take pictures of are chosen fruit up there. as it was winter and it had been snowing it was very cold and I struggled to take pictures with my group as I wasn’t in the mood to take pictures and I just wanted to go back to college. what I should of done is got on with the task and I shouldn’t of dragged my team down by not doing the work to my best ability. other than that i think we came up with some good ideas and came out with some good final pieces.
task 2 (second shoot)
For this shoot I used natural lighting from the window in the studio. I used a black backdrop as i just wanted it to be a simple background. looking back at the pictures I think i should of used a lighter background colour as the black backdrop blended in with autumn hair which made her look bald.
